How do you define quality in terms of your fashion styles? And how do you shop? Are you more likely to buy a lot regardless of quality or are you really into the quality of the items regardless of its monetary value?
We usually perceived quality as something we define beyond the general definition of it. What might good for me, might not be good for you especially in choosing our clothes or on what to wear? What kinds and styles depend on who and what influences us. But we may have differed on choices and opinions, but we can all agree on one thing, we aim quality in everything — from the quality of our lives to the quality of things we do want to have. It’s something we want and is defined by us.
Since we are talking quality fashions, and we all established at some point that we do prefer quality over quantity when choosing our clothes and styles, but the real question here is how can we quantify quality fashions? Sofia’s Vente has listed below questions to help us gauge, measure, or quantify quality fashions based on what we have done on choosing and making sure our products are of good quality.
1. Is it of good materials?
You have to make sure all your items/products are of good materials. One way to know is to really do your own research before buying the item. While designs and styles are important but that would only fall second, what comes first is the quality of the materials used. How many times did you turn your back on a dress when you go shopping? There are those times you really do love the designs and styles, but when you check the materials your level of want for that piece will go down real quick. So it is very important that the materials are of good quality.
2. Is it a product that could last longer?
Durability comes next. Buying something with good material means it will last longer. You can be sure that it will be there in your closet for the longer time, especially if it will become one of your favorites, then that would be favorable to you.
3. Is it functional and can be used according to the desired purpose?
Sometimes we do panic buying, just because we like the item we will buy it, and then, later on, realized we don’t need it. There are also instances that we bought items and only used them once, maybe you can try another alternative than buying, but again it will go back to point numbers 1 and 2, if the items you bought can be used only once or occasionally, then you really need to consider the materials used, and of course store it at the right place.
4. Is it worth the price?
They said quality comes with a price, like quality life, quality fashions, and accessories. We have this concept that when we go for quality things it would mean higher value in terms of its price in the market. For me, I don’t mind paying a little higher if I can make sure that what I am getting in return is of good quality.
5. Is it creating a brand that would promote your product and your clothing business as a whole?
This should be the end goal. If you are a clothing line owner or a small boutique owner, or just like us a start up that would soon be creating our own items and it means really creating the designs, own production, and marketing strategies. It is very important to us that what we give out is something that would create the brand Sofia’s Vente. Your product will always be the one to tell what kind of business are you, in the same way, that your brand will be the one that will tell people to buy in your store because you added so much value to quality and comfort.
Every product, may it be in the fashion industry or other industries is born because there is a need to give out a solution on something. If there is a problem, you create solutions, the same way that if there’s a need, you have to do it or addressed the need. For a start-up business, it is important to measure the quality of your products according to what you define as satisfying and qualifying on standards that your company sets. Quantify or measure your quality to your own standard not with others, because in the first place YOU are your own customer, and quality and comfort should be elevated in a way that your experience would mean hitting home.
Happy Shopping! 🙂
